Executive Board Member, 2019-2021
Regina Renee Ward is a public librarian, and former public school teacher. She has also served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Botswana and the Philippines where she worked to provide equal access to information and resources. She is passionate about social justice, intellectual freedom, labyrinths, and popcorn. Ward earned an MLIS from the University of Denver, and an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, from Morgan State University. She taught in the public school system for 19 years, including 13 years with Baltimore City Public Schools. Her career in teaching and having close ties with the local public library, and later working in a school without a library, prompted her transition from classroom teacher to public librarian.
