BCALA’s New Resource for Job Seekers and Employers


BCALA Jobs is the online career center of the Black Caucus of the American Library Association (BCALA). This dedicated site offers you the opportunity to post job ads from your organization that will be viewed by BCALA members and those with an interest in library services to African-Americans. The site also offers jobseekers the opportunity to post resumes and will offer organization that post announcement the opportunity to browse these resumes and contact a diverse pool of candidates.

Should you choose to post an ad with us, your job posting will be available 24/7 and will be searchable by job type, category, salary or date posted. Ads will also be distributed via BCALA’s social media outlets (Twitter and Facebook,) Positions may be submitted by creating an employer account at BCALA Jobs or by sending the job announcement via email to [email protected]

Job announcements post for 60 days for a cost of $150. Announcements may also be re-posted for an additional fee of $150 for each 60-day extension. Ads will run the full 60 days, unless BCALA staff is asked to remove the ad sooner. Position may be paid for at the time of posting via PayPal or be invoiced at the end of the month in which the announcement appears. Although not required, payment through PayPal (using a credit card or PayPal account) is the preferred method of payment.
