Membership Information

		For information about joining BCALA, go to the Membership page.
		The membership list of BCALA is not available for purchase.
		Any inquiries about BCALA members and/or membership list should be forward to the Membership committee (membership@bcala.org).

Privacy

	Requests for an individual's membership status or other details are not disclosed nor shared unless by specific written request of the member.
	Aggregated demographic information (e.g., surveys) or opinions (e.g., polls) may be compiled and released to the public.
	Specific information about individuals is not shared with any third party, except to comply with applicable law or valid legal process or to protect the personal safety of our members or the public.

Job Announcements & Postings

	Position announcements are regularly posted to the BCALA Member Listserv. To be a part of the email listserv, you must be an active member.
	Being Revised
	Links to sites offering information for those seeking employment in the library / information science profession, or for those who are seeking to enhance their careers are posted on the Employment page.

Newsletter & Advertisements

	For inquiries about subscriptions, contact the Membership committee to verify your membership status.
	For inquiries about advertisements, position announcements, or other submissions, contact the Newsletter Editor.
	Position announcements can be submitted to the BCALA Listserv, for distribution to the BCALA membership. See the Employment page for more information.

Reference Questions

	Reference questions (e.g., how to find an author, how to find a book, etc.) are not answered via the web site, by the committees, or by the contacts.
	Members can post their questions to the members-only listserv for responses by colleagues.

Scholarships & Awards

	Scholarships are awarded based on the recommendation of the respective committee. For more information about submission dates, requirements, and scholarship amounts, go to the Awards page.
	The BCALA offers literary and other Awards. More information is available on the Awards page.

Authors & Publishers

	Unsolicited requests are not posted to the web site nor distributed to the membership.
	Advertisements are accepted. Go to the Submissions page for rate information.
	Exhibit information for conferences is available. Go to the Conference page.
	To submit items for Literary Award consideration, go to the Literary Award page.
	BCALA does not maintain a collection of any items.
