Activism and Advocacy

Birmingham, Alabama
Sheraton Conference Center
August 4-8, 2010

Registration for the 7th National Conference has closed. Onsite registration only.

Greetings!

Star studded!! Action packed!! Celebration shared!! Are there words that can appropriately characterize or describe what awaits us in a few short months? We are awed by the mounting anticipation of reaching a great milestone for us on August 4-8, 2010, as we join together for our 7th National Conference of African American Librarians (NCAAL) conference to be held in the “Magic City” of Birmingham, Alabama. While our past conferences have all been great successes, please take this special magical moment to mark your calendars now and plan to attend what is promised to be a very memorable conference for all!

Marked with stimulating speakers, knowledgeable authors, informative programs, and relaxing tours, this conference offers a well planned adventure intended to expand your intellectually creative horizons. The action themes motivating this conference will focus on stimulating leadership development, enhancing collegial and institutional collaboration, and fostering, through focus groups, your active engagement in shaping the future of librarians and of libraries themselves!

Details will be posted on our website for you to preview as they become available. Please check back often for these postings, as you will surely not want to miss any of the events planned for NCAAL!

I look forward to seeing you in Birmingham!
